Forex robots are very popular these days, and for good reason. They can automatically enter and exit trades for you in the forex markets, and many have shown to provide very high percentage of winning trades, all on autopilot! For a lot of folks though, these trading robots (also know as Expert Advisors - ie: EAs) are still a bit of a mystery, so I explain how to actually set up your new trading robot.

The 1st thing you'll need is a broker account, if you don't have one already. This could be a real money account or a demo account, but the important thing to know is that Nearly all the Forex Robots on the market today require the Metatrader 4 platform. So, if you don't have access to Metatrader 4, then you will not be able to use most forex robots. This shouldn't be too much of a problem because many of the leading forex brokers now provide this charting software to their customers. It may be an inconvenience if you are already using one that doesn't use it, but it will be worth switching if the robot you plan on using generates some decent returns.

Once you have access to Metatrader then you are ready to use many of the leading forex robots that are currently detailed on Forexbyrobot.com. All of these expert advisors are simple to install on your computer and after that it's just a case of configuring it to work on the Metatrader platform. Full instructions are always provided but this simple process should take no longer than a few minutes.

Once the expert advisor is set up, just enter the various details such as how much money you wish allocate per trade and how tight you want to place your stop loss and limit orders (if you do not wish to use default settings). You may also want to tweak the trading criteria the robot uses if you want to attempt to improve profitability even more, but for most people, "out-of-the-box" settings are more than adequate.

Now you're ready to go. You can let your new automated trading software trade for you, based on the trading criteria it's been pre-programmed with. Some expert advisors require you to leave your computer on all the time (if you want to catch every single trade), but if you don't wish to do that, then you can always buy a specialized forex hosting account which will allow you to run several expert advisors at once.

Overall the actual process of setting up a forex robot is quite easy, and once you've experienced the thrill of an automated income, you'll be eager to try out other trading robots as well.
